Lawrence Wells will be handing in his Licence at the end of this season - 30th April 2009 - as it is simply unsustainable to continue.

Lawrence would like to 'Thank' his owners and followers for their support over the years and wishes them all success for the future.

We will, however, still be preparing Horses for Sales; as well as road work prior to Horses going into training; resting sick Horses and Rehabilitation, together with our other businesses here on the Farm at Pallingham.

2008 / 2009 Season started well with Horses running to form.

We have some old favourites - Lease Back and Victree still to run and, as well as some lovely young horses, they are all looking a picture and will be seen out very soon - lots to look forward to!

On a very sad note, however, our Stable Star "Classic Role" paid the ultimate price at Wincanton on Boxing Day.  Classic Role had come good after battling injury and breathing problems.  He was so honest and genuine and was in terrific form.  He is very much missed.

Thank you to all our Owners, dedicated staff and supporters.  We wish you success for 2009.

The Powersolve Electronics Greatwood Charity Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 4)

* 1ST * - CLASSIC ROLE - (Jamie Moore)

 

Classic Role has new found confidence over fences.  A well deserved Win for a horse that has had a run of bad luck.  Classic Role is really enjoying his new lease of life and is well.  Well done all!

3rd DECEMBER 2008 - KEMPTON PARK:

The Weatherbys All Weather 'Hands And Heels' Apprentice Series Handicap Stakes (Class 6)

3rd - OCEAN PRIDE - (James Rogers)

Very pleased with Ocean Pride!  The break has done him the power of good and is coming back to form.  Ocean Pride came out of the race very well.

The Paul Webber Racing Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 4)

3rd - CLASSIC ROLE - (J. Moore)

The lst, 2nd & 3rd all jumped the last together - top weight just held him back again!  Well Done to All.

LAST SEASON RESULTS

 

 
15th June - Stratford
3rd Place for Classic Role (J. Moore). Classic Role ran a cracking race after his lengthy time off – the wind op worked! We hope that the Handicapper gives him a chance – he will probably revert back to fences.
Classic Role is for sale.

4th June - Fontwell Park
2nd Place for Timon’s Present! First race was very promising. She will now have the summer to digest her experience and will come back a bigger and stronger mare – all being well! A future to look forward to!

11th May - Fontwell Park
2nd Place for Ocean Pride!  Ocean Pride is going the right way. Lovely Horse. Congratulations to all the connections!

10th April - Fontwell Park
2nd Place for Lease Back! All in all, not a bad day at Fontwell. Well done to Lease Back! Both Fortification and Victree were both run off their feet but not disgraced. Novi Sad continues to have his problems, however, all the horses are well in themselves and running to form.

23rd March - Plumpton
2nd Place for Victree! Sheer guts and determination – he did well to survive a bad mistake on desperate ground. He was also giving nearly a stone to the Winner! His time will come.

16th March - Fontwell
2nd Place for Fortification! Very happy with Fortification’s run in the NH Novices’ Hurdle Race. Well done to all connections.

12th February - Plumpton
3rd Place for Victree! Yet another consistent run. The ground was slightly better than Victree would like but the further he goes the better he gets. His time will come.

29th January - Folkestone
2nd Place for Victree! As predicted, Victree is going from strength to strength and is building from his run. Credit to Jay Pemberton for a patient ride! Victree has come home sound and will Win soon!

4th January - Lingfield
3rd Place for Victree! Finished 66-1 in a field of 16. The penny has started to drop and we expect him to progress on from this run – Watch this space!

3rd January 2008 - Fontwell
The year has started productively with us introducing “Ullalujah” at her first race. A nice run finishing 6th out of 13 runners. She will come on enormously for this run and will be kept for better ground.
